19 November the Centre for Ethics in collaboration with the UNESCO Estonian National Committee organized a conference "Freedom and Responsibility of the Press. Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow" in celebration of the World Philosophy Day.
4-6 November the Centre for Ethics in collaboration with the Faculty of Philosophy, the Estonian Genome Center, Graduate School of Biomedicine and Biotechnology and the Doctoral School of Behavioural, Social and Health Sciences organized an international conference "From informed consent to no consent? Colloquia
10 Novembr a public colloquim on the topic of the ethical limits of political advertising took place where Rein Iida,Agu Uudelepp, and Külli-Riin Tigasson discussed various questions with the public.

13 May a public colloquim titled "Whistleblowing and Source Protection" took place where Mihkel Kärmas ja Sandra Mikli discussed the topic with the public.

Book presentations
24 August the presentation of the book Values in Early Childhood: Value Education at Pre-School took place. The book includes both theoretical and practical information on value education. A special guest, prof. Lorraine Ling, gave a talk as did prof. Margit Sutrop and Marika Veisson. See also our publications section for further info.
